The Ealing Parks Foundation (EFP) is delighted to announce that it has been granted Charitable Status - Charity No. 1195171.
The EPF, the first Parks Foundation in London, was formed in answer to the diminishing amount of public funding available for the enhancement of Parks. While the Council continues to fulfil its statutory responsibilities there is no doubt that due to lack of funds it has become increasingly difficult for them to carry out non-statutory enhancements. And this is at a time when due to the pandemic more people are discovering and using their parks. The EPF will support parks across the London Borough of Ealing with time, expertise and privately-raised funds.
The EPF is also very pleased to announce that it also launched its first initiative with ‘The Ealing Parks Foundation Summer Family Wildlife programme’ . This programme successfully links children and families with nature in a fun way.
The Ealing Summer Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme (funded by the Department for Education) provides free holiday activities for school-aged children (Reception to Y11) who are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals. The EPF secured funding to provide free fun Wildlife Clubs focusing on Parks and Bio-Diversity which has run across various Ealing parks throughout the summer, with sessions targeted at primary and secondary children and those with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
The EPF is currently working on a number of other projects which it hopes to announce shortly.
