September Park of the Month
Cayton Green Park & Recreation Ground

This quiet, tucked away park is off the radar for many as it is in a residential area so attracts mainly local visitors or those who visit Northolt RFC on the adjacent sports fields.  But there is room for all, the sports club and fields are contained within a hedged boundary.

The quiet space of Cayton Green has attractive mature trees, grass meadows to roam, some lovely oaks, wide open   spaces, a fun playground for children including a spiderlike climbing frame, and swings, an fun oversized car with a slide - and at this time of year,  a wonderful field of sunflowers 🌻  ðŸŒ»   🌻 - now in bloom!  Well worth a visit!

The adjacent recreation field is well used as a base for Northolt RFC which holds a 60-year lease on the sports grounds at Cayton Green Park which it uses along with various other local sports clubs who are associate members of Northolt RFC.  The Club House is well established.

It hosts mini and youth rugby, as well as an annual tag tournament for local schools. The club has also inaugurated two annual rugby tournaments for local schools; one at Primary School level and the other at Secondary School level, and offers its grounds to those local schools that lack their own pitches and facilities

It is registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club and is open to other areas of the local community to use such as hosting the local Neighbourhood Watch.
